The Department of MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS (M.C.A) was established in the year 1999 with the vision of developing the department as a Centre of Excellence in R&D, Our mission is to develop innovative and simple instructional material to drive the concepts into the minds of students and infuse scientific temper in the students and guide them towards research in communication engineering.Also to grow a committed group of competent teachers striving for excellence, be it in teaching or research and to develop Collaborative Research and Development linkages with leading organizations in India and abroad.

 

The Department has been accredited by NBA (National Board of Accreditation) in the year 2008 and well-equipped with the state-of-art laboratories .The Department is also ISO 9001 certified. The department consistently produces University ranks in University Examinations.

 

The Department has been moving forward in achieving academic excellence with a strong commitment and dedicated approach, by clearly setting up of a vision of its own. The initiatives taken have already started yielding excellent results, in terms of research funding and other developmental activities thus keeping us in the path of excellence.

 

The Department strives to develop long Term relationships with Industries and market the Student's Talents effectively. The Students are thus provided high level 'Leads and Pathways' that enable them to gain access to a broad range of 'high potential' and 'hi-tech' Career Opportunities. In a very short span of time since the Department was launched in our College, it has made a name for itself, among the Top few Colleges,at the University level, through Seminars, Symposia, Workshops,and Conferences and also through its performance in the Examinations and Placement.

         Bridge course for Freshers

       Program should be Minimum of 15 Days

       Curriculum consists of Computer Fundamentals, Basic Mathematics, English Grammar, Aptitude andsoft skill training.

Research Activities:

 

The Madha Institute of Research and Development Lab Organized by Department of Computer Applications has identified the key research areas as System Software, Networking, Data Warehousing & Mining, Network Security, Embedded Systems, Image Processing , Software Engineering and Application software.

 

Faculty members are encouraged to participate in the Faculty Development Programs, Workshops and seminars arranged by other institutions and leading software industries to enrich their domain knowledge in their area of interest

 

Faculty members are also encouraged to undertake AICTE, DST funded projects.

 

All final year students are specifically motivated to undertake the research projects and publish their research papers in National, International Conferences & Journals.
