The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was started in 1998 the inceptional years of Madha Engineering College. A Programme in Computer Science and Engineering at master's level was inducted in 2007. The curriculam of programme is the one recommended by Anna university chennai.

 

The department has faculty specialized in the relevant areas of the M.E programme offered. The programme offered by this college lays a heavy thrust and learning in practical classess, seminar topics and Minor projects. Of the electives from the frame work of anna university curriculam the electives offered are the present day thrust areas in IT sectors like DATA MINING, DATA WAREHOUSE, SOFTWARE PROJECT MANAGEMENT etc.,

 

The methodology of teaching the programme insist on the graduate students involving in good amount of self study, Directed study and make them present themselves in class room seminars besides regular classes lectures. On the laboratory infractural site, the department has for the P.G programme, independent computing centre with machines of latest configuration and high end softwares. There by it provides the platform for the students exposure to the state of art and also the necessary facility for undertaking industrial consultancy, Sponsored projects and research activities for people pusuing doctoral programme
